Business Group on Health Contributes to Amicus Briefs in Legal Challenges Relating to ERISA Preemption and Surprise Billing

The Business Group joined other employer plan sponsor, human resource professional, and insurance plan stakeholders in filing amicus briefs in legal cases during 2022 involving challenges to ERISA preemption and surprise medical billing provisions of the No Surprises Act.

Business Group on Health joined other stakeholder organizations representing employer plan sponsors, human resources professionals, and insurance plans in filing amicus briefs in cases heard in 2022 related to ERISA preemption in the U.S. Supreme Court and surprise medical billing provisions of the No Surprises Act under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 in U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia and Eastern District of Texas.
